As far as board goes I recommend getting a 6x4 because you can always just mark off(or droop off of a table) a larger one to a smaller area but a smaller board can’t get bigger. Hit the beach is a great value!įor books I’d get the d-day American and/or d-day german (or about to release) d day ss. I should say don’t get all of this at once, definitely slowly build up. The combat command starter box for the Americans and the kampfgruppe or just about to release panther kampfgruppe starter boxes are fantastic deals compared to buying the units individually. If you want both an American and german army definitely get a second hit the beach box and/or then get one of the new 100 dollar starters for the army(ies) you want. I’m going to be completely real here, the starter boxes are infinitely better deals than any single units. Unfortunately, I don't have a table right now that is this sized, so, the question is: do I reaaaaally need a surface this size for starting the game, if not, what's smallest table size would you folks recommend? Table size: I see that the standard table size for this game is 6'x4', which considering my Kill Team background this is a big step up.Armies: are the armies good in this box set good enough for having fun in the long run? Or should I start looking into upgrades to make them a bit bigger (say, slowly make them two 100 point armies). ![]() I enjoy wargaming for the hobby side and the occasional game between me and my brother or some other friends. As far as wargaming experience goes, I've played quite a bit of Kill Team (you know, the 40k skirmish game), and I'm dead set on being a casual player, I mean, I have no intentions in playing competitvely. Hey folks, as the title suggested, I just ordered the Hit the Beach Box Set.
